The next time I went to visit him, he said he wished he could see it. So right then and there I started to plan a trip. I wanted him to see where I worked, a visit to the Calgary Tower, the Calgary Zoo, Calaway Park and Drumheller to see the Dinosaurs.
Kaiden was so excited to go and so was his mother. She wanted to come to see it again (I had taken them on a trip like this when they were children) and she wanted to see the look on Kaiden's face when he saw everything.
It became a vacation with me, my daughter and the two young ones, Kaiden and Kiona.
Away we went on this great adventure, very excited and enthusiastic. The drive is ten hours with many other stops for eating, bathroom and stretches.
The adventure was over five days and it was a lot of fun. I took tons of pictures. To see the joy in my grandson's face and laugh with him about stuff was great. That, in itself, made the trip worthwhile!
If you can, build lifetime memories for your children and grandchildren, it helps them when they are adults! We call it asset building now....
Here are some of the pictures of our time in Calgary, if you click on one, it will become a slideshow presentation. I have tried to make notes on as many of the pictures as I could....enjoy!
