Indigenous 101I have received many requests for a session on Indigenous Awareness. More and more agencies have this as a requirement for there accreditation.
There is also the desire to work in an effective way with Indigenous people. I am grateful to be asked for this information and I am happy to share my knowledge. What would a session like this look like? |
We would start with getting to know some of our history here on Turtle Island.
Then into some strengths of Indigenous people as well as the historical and intergenerational impacts of living in a colonized world. We will have a discussion on the things to take into consideration when working with an Indigenous population. |
