My friend, Barb Campbell, has been running the "Men at Risk" program since it started, in fact, it was because of her hard work that it got off the ground. She works for the Suicide Prevention Resource Centre based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta.
The program is for men in the trades and Industries. Volunteers from various sectors talk about their own experiences dealing with difficult times and share information about what to do about it. Alberta Health services and other communities have trained helpers in Alberta to deliver the Men at Risk program in their areas.
It is a great program that is a valuable resource.
