As I deliver workshops, I find it necessary to try to understand and become as familiar as I can be with the audiovisual equipment that is necessary in giving a good visual presentation.
I also spend time looking around for ways to make it easy on myself.
Chapters stores recently had these for sale, and on sale. They are called the Hubman and are they ever neat. This little gadget gives you an extra four USB ports and also has a port for a DC 5V outlet, I haven't used that port yet but it's nice to know it's there.
I did a workshop recently using this Hubman and it worked really well. I had space to use all of the equipment I needed without it being stuck on the side of my laptop.
