My friend Maureen is a fantastic beader. I was talking to her one day about needing a talking stick that I could use in the circles that I facilitate. She made this one for me and I love it. I have had the opportunity to use it in several circles. It has been wonderful and has a good connection for the participants in the circle. I am grateful that she could make this for me!

The turtle represents the Cree creation story of Turtle Island, as well the four colours are represented in the turtle beading.
