This year the CASP (Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention) is hosting their annual conference in Halifax/Dartmouth, Nova Scotia from October 3rd to the 7th, 2010. The first two days are pre-conference trainings that are offered on different issues related to suicide.
I will be there on the first Sunday and Monday to deliver some trainings on behalf of the Centre for Suicide Prevention. The two workshops I will deliver are the Tattered Teddies, a workshop about Suicide in Children and Straight Talk, a workshop about Youth Suicide.
I will also be presenting a session on The River of Life: Aboriginal Youth Suicide Prevention at the conference sometime between the 5th and 7th. I plan to be extremely nervous and full of anxiety but I'm also sure it will be fine.
